BD is now embecta
BD (Becton Dickinson) has officially rebranded its Diabetes Care division as embecta. While the name and packaging may look different, rest assured that the products themselves have not changed. They are manufactured in the same facilities, using the same materials, and follow the same rigorous quality standards you've come to trust from BD. The part numbers (NDC/HRI) remain valid and now include NRC codes for updated pharmacy systems. We now ship only embecta-branded products going forward. How to choose the right size insulin syringe
Choose the smallest size syringe which is big enough to hold the largest dose you take in a day. If your largest dose is close to the syringe’s maximum capacity, you might want to buy the next size up to handle any increases in your dose adjustments.
- 0.3mL – Ideal for doses under 30 units
- 0.5mL – Ideal for doses between 30 units and 50 units
- 1.0mL – Ideal for doses between 50 units and 100 units
Important Note
BD Veo with Ultra-Fine Needle U100 Insulin Syringes by Becton Dickinson are for single use only. After injecting insulin please dispose of syringes properly by using a specifically designed sharps container. There is a high possibility of infection if syringes are used more than once. Sharpness and lubrication also deteriorate after first use which requires more pressure to penetrate the skin thus causing pain.
Storage and Use of Medicine
Check the drug information sheet or contact the drug manufacturer for recommended storage and use of your medicine. To avoid clogging and/or contamination of the syringe needle, DO NOT store medicine inside the syringe.
